Beyond Hardship: Sowing Seeds of Ease in Muharram
Allah (swt) tells us in the Qur’an: 'Verily. With hardship comes ease.' (Quran, 94:5).
This is one of the most powerful messages of our faith, reminding us that Allah is merciful, and that ease will always follow hardship, and we must remain steadfast in this belief.
The month of Muharram has historically shown us this too, as much hardship was experienced by Imam Hussain (as) and the Prophet (saw)’s family at Karballa, and the tyrant rule of Firaun over the children of Israel. There was much ease too, as Prophet Musa (as) was able to free his people through the parting of the Red Sea, and Prophet Nuh’s ark reached land and safety after sailing for almost a year.
This Muharram, you can help bring ease to those experiencing hardship. Around the world, millions are starving, living in poverty, struggling with thirst and losing hope. 2 million people in Gaza are trapped in brutal and devastating attacks, where over 50,000 people have been killed so far in 19 months.
Sow the seeds of ease this Muharram, and donate to provide support to save lives, uplift communities and help those in need through our water, hafiz & mosque projects around the world.

According to Islamic tradition, several other significant events are believed to have occurred on Ashura:
Ashura is also a day of charitable deeds. Many Muslims engage in acts of charity (Sadaqah) and other charitable activities on this day to honor its spirit of compassion and generosity.
