Power of Sadaqah

“Guard yourselves against the Fire (of Hell) even if it be only with half a date-fruit (given in charity); and if you cannot afford even that, you should at least say a good word.”. - Al-Bukhari and Muslim

Power of Sadaqah

The power of Sadaqah is what cleanses our souls and pushes us to do better. We learn this from the foundations of Islam. The reward of Sadaqah is what gives you a shade and a heavier weight on your scales on the day of judgement. And surely, it’s quoted “No one who has an atom’s weight of faith in his heart will enter Hell”.

Hadith on Sadaqah in Arabic

In Islam, Sadaqah is regarded as anything to do with giving for the better. In many hadiths we learn that the gift of giving heals you. عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ خَيْرُ الصَّدَقَةِ مَا كَانَ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ صحيح البخاري كتاب الزكاة باب لا صدقة إلا عن ظهر غنى“ Our way is that giving charity from all kinds of wealth is recommended for one who has no debt, no dependents, and is not enduring hardship.” Sahih al-Bukhari.

Sadaqah Quotes

“Don’t feel ashamed when giving little for charity; that is because there is always goodness in giving no matter how little.” — Ali Ibn Abi Talib (RA).

We should learn from these quotes and the examples our prophet set for us. There are always many types of Sadaqah we can take part in, and to ‘give’ is always followed by to ‘achieve’.

All kinds of giving are powerful, but we help you accomplish both voluntary and obligatory charity. To get an estimate of any zakat you’re due to pay, please see our zakat calculator UK.
