Qurbani Asia

Qurbani in Asia

Widespread and deep-rooted poverty in many countries across Asia has left millions without food.

Through your Qurbani you can reach impoverished families across seven countries in Asia.

Our cheapest Qurbani is in India, where we deliver your Qurbani in the regions of West Bengal, Jaharkhand and Bihar. Due to a large proportion of the Indian population not eating beef, there is an abundance of meat and low demand, which means that your Qurbani is much cheaper in India than in other countries.

We also deliver your Qurbani to countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Kashmir & Sri Lanka where over half of the population is food insecure, facing unemployment, hunger and an inability to meet their everyday basic needs.

Our teams on the ground order animals in advance from farmers, helping us to reduce overhead costs and negotiate the best prices.

Automate your donations

Split your donations across the blessed first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah and maximise the reward of these holy days.

Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: “There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days” (Bukhari), meaning the (first) ten days of Dhul-Hijjah.

Schedule your donations daily and don't miss giving to those in need on these special days.

*Please note that once your donations are scheduled, their scheduled dates can not be changed

Why Asia Needs Your Qurbani this Year?

Asia is home to some of the most vulnerable communities, where poverty, natural disasters, and conflict leave millions fighting for survival. By donating your Qurbani in Asia, you provide essential nourishment to orphans, widows, displaced families, and those who may not afford to enjoy meat even once a year.

In rural Pakistan, Bangladesh refugee camps, and earthquake-hit Afghanistan, your Qurbani represents hope and joy, reminding many that they are cherished and supported.

When you choose to give your Qurbani in Asia, you step into the lives of families who often eat dry bread for days, children who have never savored meat, and elderly parents who have lost their livelihoods.

This year, let your sacrifice uplift lives, create impact, and restore the spirit of Eid in Asia.

The Impact of Your Qurbani in Asia

Your Qurbani provides essential nourishment and support to those in need. Families receive nutritious meals through the distribution of meat, especially after relying on limited resources such as bread and lentils for extended periods. Many children experience the benefits of eating meat for the first time in a while, which can aid their growth.

In 2024 alone, your contributions enabled us to nourish over 3.3 million individuals across Asia, Africa and Middle East. For every portion of meat we deliver, there is not only nourishment but also a prayer whispered, and a tear joyfully wiped away.

You are not merely feeding the hungry; you are uplifting hearts and restoring dignity to families in need.

Qurbani FAQs

The animals which are eligible for Qurbani are:

Sheep and goats which are at least one year in age (for one person’s Qurbani). Cows, buffalo or camels which are at least two years in age (for seven people’s Qurbani)

We provide fresh Qurbani meat in all countries as the animals are purchased and slaughtered locally.

AMWT eligibility criteria require beneficiaries of the Qurbani project to be selected based on need. When selecting beneficiaries for the distribution, priority is given to the following:

  • Families/individual living below the poverty line
  • Single-parent household
  • Households with disabled and/or elderly persons
  • Household with little or no access to the food markets
  • Household with children
  • Household with pregnant and/or nursing women
  • A thorough assessment is carried out by our teams to objectively identify and prioritise those in need and to ensure we reach the most vulnerable without bias.

The quantity of meat is distributed to families based on the size of the family. Generally, a family of 1- 4 people will receive 4kg of meat, a family of 5-9 will get 6kg of meat and a family of more than 10 will receive 8kg.

No, this is not necessary as long as you have made the intention that you are giving this Qurbani on behalf of a certain person.

Yes. You can give Qurbani online. You can participate in Qurbani Online 2024 by booking your Qurbani through Al Mustafa Welfare's website. We will deliver fresh and nutritious Qurbani meat to the most needed families.

You can make payments right up until the middle of the third day after Eid (13th of Dhul-Hijjah) before Zohar salah. AMWT has already purchased the animals to be slaughtered.

Our Qurbani sacrifices are performed every year between the morning of Eid, the 10th Dhul Hijjah, and the sunset of the 13th day of Dhul-Hijjah in the UK.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of Qurbani and the time restrictions related to it we are not able to provide each donor with individual feedback on their specific Qurbani.

We will however send you a receipt to confirm your Qurbani and a notification when all our Qurbanis have been completed.

If you have provided us with a name, our team will call the name out after the Dua at the time of the sacrifice. However, it is not necessary to give us a name as long as you have made the intention that you are giving this Qurbani on behalf of a certain person.

Unfortunately, we are not able to change the donation schedule for our ‘My ten days of Dhul Hijjah’ module, once it is set up by our donor.

Qurbani 2025 prices vary by region and share, starting from £30. See the table above for full details.
